Debdutta Ray was born into a spiritually rooted family and spent her early childhood in close communion with nature in Bihar, India. Surrounded by animals and the quiet rhythms of the natural world, she developed an early sensitivity to life, empathy, and inner reflection. Trained in English Literature and Education, she began her professional journey as a teacher at a leading children's school in South Kolkata. Alongside her academic path, she was initiated into yoga and meditation at a young age, practices that supported her own journey of emotional healing and self-understanding. A transformative meeting with Bodhi became a turning point in her life. Deeply moved by his teachings, she chose to leave her teaching career and dedicate herself fully to service, working as a volunteer in charitable projects across slums and villages in Kolkata. Today, Debdutta serves as Director of Project Coordination at the Bodhi Guides. She facilitates Nature Connect programs, Yoga and Meditation sessions, and Mindful Living practices, guiding individuals toward inner balance, resilience, and a naturally arising sense of peace and well-being.
